Kobi Yashi by Tiffany Tong Photography

Last September, the hubs and I went off to our honeymoon in beautiful Maui. During that time, my sister was watching Kobi, which he had just turned 3 months old. While we were away, our cousin took pictures of Kobi since it was her first time meeting him and she happens to be a photographer. An awesome one too. :) She posted up his photos that she took that day recently and I just had to share them on here.

Happy 8 Months Kobi!

On Saturday, our little guy turned 8 months old. So in celebration, we took him out to Golden Gardens for a nice walk around the beach since it was so nice in Seattle!

Kobi got scared walking on the docks.. it kept moving because of the water so he was pretty much walking and crawling at the same time. haha...

He spotted a crow so he had to get it.. too bad it was too far for him. :P

This would've been a perfect shadow of us if somebody's butt wasn't in the way.. mmhmm..

Winter Brush-down

Ever since we got Kobi, his fur has been good and haven't been shedding at all. Till we read that shibas only shed twice a year and it'll come major shedding. We prepared ourselves till that happens and it has happened now..

Brushing Kobi down with the FURminator. A great tool to use esp for a puppy with a thick winter coat like Kobi. It helps to get under the top layer and deep into his thick coat to smooth it out.

The aftermath of brushing Kobi with the FURminator. It looks less than what it really was. Took a while to pick it all up and into the garbage.

Afterwards, brushed him down with another brush called the Zoom Groom made by Kong. It helps to gather up the top layer of any loose fur hanging on.

He didn't care for it too much but with a 'free' massage to his whole body.. he kept still. A sharp looking pup! ;)

Mini Kobi

Last month I ordered this cute shiba plush on Amazon because it just reminded me of Kobi. It is actually NOT for him to play with but to be put on a shelf. haha.. But I did introduce it to him to see his reaction....

Graduation Day - Puppy Jr High

Last weekend was a big day for Kobi, he graduated from puppy jr high. :) He had to go through three final exams and had to pass two of them in order to 'graduate'. So proud of our little guy. He was able to pass all three with flying colors!

On the way to school, it was semi-snowing/hailing so of course Kobi got curious and stuck his head out to see.

Right after he passed his three tests. Yay!!

With is fur-mate/'girlfriend' Scarlet. hehe.. He LOVES her. ;)
