Stinky pup = Bath time!

We've read a lot of forums/blog posts on how often you should bathe your shiba which is what we were following due to their nice special coat. Some say every 3-5 months and some said twice a year.. we were just going to give him a bath whenever we felt he needed it. And the fact that we groom him constantly so his coat is still nice and shiny. We also wipe him down every time he goes in and out of the house esp during puppy play. The last time we gave Kobi a bath was back in Sept.. :/ He had a rash under his arms so we had to give him a bath with the medicated shampoo every other day.. took awhile but he was still not loving the water.

Plus we live in Seattle... it rains 24/7 and thankfully for us Kobi doesn't mind the rain. :)

Well over this past weekend Kobi got himself a pleasant surprise during his daily walk. A bird pooped on him. Yep.. right on his neck... he shook it all off by the time he got home but still not enough to be 'clean'. So we made the ultimate decision to bathe him.

Surprisingly he didn't shiba scream during the entire bath which is good but he did do a few whines/cries.. such a big baby!

Presidents' Day Weekend

For a long weekend we decided to take Kobi somewhere around the northwest so we chose to drive up to Burlington (about an hour drive) to do a little shopping and to explore what was around there on Sunday.

Here's how our whole day went:

First thing we wake up to! Waiting for us to get our lazy butts out of bed and feed him. :P

On our way out on our mini road trip! Kobi loving the sticking-head-out-of-window because he's a curious pup. lol

Someone fell asleep during the drive...

We get there and walking around the mall outside.

Someone was tired and was pooped out in the car again. ;)

Onto the next stop!

Stopped at another outdoor mall and hung around for people watching which Kobi LOVES. That means he gets pets and friendly hi's and of course attention!

Lazy Kobi

Happy Friday!!

Yesterday I had to work from home so Kobi got to hang out with me and he was super happy since that means no crating during the day for him. :P Here are pictures of him lounging around the house. Such a lazy butt!! All he mostly did was sleep and eat... then sleep again. Wish we had his life. haha..

This is Kobi's version of 'play dead'.. except for when he does.. he sometimes wags his tail so it's not very convincing. 0_o He wanted a treat at the time so he kept on playing dead for one. haha... TOO cute. :)
